Newborn photography is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, as your child will change and grow in the blink of an eye. Capturing this fleeting moment in time, which disappears so quickly, is an investment you will treasure forever.
Once your child has passed the newborn baby stage a little sitters’ session will capture the next milestone when baby is sitting up unaided.
This generally happens within 6-12 months in the special first year of your baby’s life. Little sitter sessions are lots of fun and full of smiles. A wonderful way to document how much your baby has changed in such a short time.
These unique photoshoots are a great way to celebrate your child’s first birthday. Each session includes the cake and there are three parts to the session, which gives us the opportunity to capture a wide variety of photos for your gallery and as many expressions as possible.
Family life moves fast – the giggles, the cuddles, the in-between moments you’ll want to remember. My family portrait sessions are relaxed and guided, creating beautiful images that last a lifetime.
I offer professional nursery and school photography with a calm, inclusive approach. As a qualified teaching assistant with experience supporting children with additional needs, including autism, and with working knowledge of British Sign Language, I understand how to create an environment where every child feels comfortable.
Hi, I’m Sam, a professional newborn, baby (sitter), and maternity photographer based in South Nottinghamshire. I photograph from my welcoming home studio in Kinoulton, conveniently located for families in Nottinghamshire, Loughborough, Leicestershire, and the surrounding areas.

Went for a newborn shoot today. Sam was very welcoming and accommodating. Felt nervous to breastfeed in front of someone for the first time but Sam wasn’t fussed at all, acted like nothing was happening which made me feel much more comfortable. Hot/cold drinks was offered throughout the whole shoot, along with a cheeky chocolate. Studio was cosy and warm. Sam was very amazing with baby Leo, he was unsettled at times but again Thank you for being patient today and making me and my partner feel VERY welcome xx
